I’ve been told it’s pronounced (shuh-let-kah) my entire life, but I’ve heard anything you can imagine. Anything relative is plenty. I’ve heard anything from shloski, slinky, sled shed, to some not-so-nice ones. You can ask me if you want to hear those.
Originally from the Detroit metro area, I’ve been in Charlotte since 2010.
Surprisingly, only now owning my first set of (street) hockey gear at the ripe age of 25. I’ve consumed more hockey content than probably healthy. From my nephew’s peewee, my brother in law’s beer league, ECHL, AHL, NHL, you name it.
